The internet is a significant part of young people’s lives. It has revolutionised the way we communicate, learn, and interact. However, it isn’t all fun and games, safety should always be a concern.

Every year Safer Internet Day aims to raise awareness of emerging or prevalent online issues, ranging from cyberbullying to avoiding scams, data privacy and cyber predator concerns. At our school we will be spending the week addressing online safety issues, educating pupils on how best to protect themselves and others online.

For Safer Internet Day 2024, the UK Safer Internet Centre is organising celebrations and learning based around the theme: ‘Inspiring change? Making a difference, Managing Influence and Navigating Change Online’. To find out more please visit the site:

All our members of staff are involved in encouraging safe online practices throughout the year, and excellent training is provided through The White Horse Federation. If you have any concerns regarding your child’s online safety, please speak to a member of staff.
