Monday 2nd March is National Allocation Day for students entering secondary school.
On this long-anticipated day, secondary school place offers will be sent to the parents of year 6 students. It’s a very exciting day, and we hope that everyone receives their offer of choice.
As Whitelands Academy is a school opening for the first time in September, the protocol for accepting a place with us is a little different.
If you applied before 31st October, you will be sent an email on Monday 2nd March with a conditional offer of a place at Whitelands Academy. You will have until 18th March to accept it. If you miss the deadline, you will lose the offer completely.
Upon accepting the offer, you will be asked to confirm Whitelands Academy as your first choice. We are legally required to advise that you also accept the offer from a school which is currently open.
If you applied for a place at Whitelands Academy after 31st October, you will be informed whether you have been offered a place in a letter posted on 5th May.
As we move toward our first day of school in September, the development of our state-of-the-art school is progressing at a rapid pace. By selecting Whitelands Academy, you are giving your child every chance to be successful in their future.
The step up to secondary school is an important milestone for every student. As they become a part of our school community, we promise to give every child the support they need to make a success out of this transition.
To secure your child’s place, make sure to follow the steps below:
- Accept your conditional offer before 18th March.
- Accept an offer for a currently open school.
- Confirm Whitelands Academy as your first choice.
We can’t wait to meet you in September!
