To successfully submit an application for a place at our school, parents are required to complete and send two forms: one specifically for Whitelands Academy as well as the county council application form. This is because, as a new school, Whitelands Academy will not be an option on the county council form.
When filling out the county council application form, please indicate your school preferences from the list of existing secondaries in the area.
Applying for a place at Whitelands Academy will not prejudice your application for other schools. However, if you do not complete both forms, and you are not subsequently allocated a place at Whitelands Academy, you will be allocated the next-nearest school with spaces available. The school may be out of the area or an undesirable option for you or your child.
If your application for a place at Whitelands Academy is successful, then your child will be given the choice of attending Whitelands or the school they have been allocated through the county council application process.
The deadline for both application forms was the 31st October 2019, so any applications received after this time and date will be considered in the second round of applications after the National Allocation Day in March 2020.
You will find out if your application for a place at Whitelands has been successful in early March 2020. This will correspond with the county council allocating your child a place at another secondary school in the area.
If you have any questions about Whitelands Academy or the application process, please don’t hesitate to contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 01793 818603.
